Computer technicians are the one whom you call whenever you’re having problems

proper training and experience.
Below are some tips for computer technicians
Check the possible cause of
error: As a computer technician, I assume that you already know the basic
things to check in troubleshooting. For example: The computer won’t turn on. In
this case, you should check if the power is already connected to the supply or
try plugging it to a direct plug. Another example: There is no display in your
screen. This is also a common problem. You must check if the video cable is
properly connected and monitor power is on. These examples are the basic
things to check in troubleshooting.
Check hardware components: Check
for possible hardware damages that are causing problems. If there are newly
installed devices, remove it first. It might be the one causing problems due to
conflicts. Check the components for loose connections, bloated capacitors or
burned parts. Remove or replace components that might be the possible cause of
the problem.
Run check disk: There might be
errors regarding your hard disks. Run check disk and repair possible errors.
Use recovery console: Some
problems like ntldr and boot problems can be repaired in the recovery console.
Just run it from your operating system CD and try to repair it. You can also
type help to see the list of commands.
Use system restore: Restoring
the computer to an earlier time might do the trick. Restore it to a time where
the computer is working properly and is free from errors.
Scan for viruses: Make sure that
your antivirus is updated. Scan your system for viruses that might be causing
problems and slowdowns. Quarantine or delete detected threats.
Repair registry errors: Run a
program capable of repairing registry errors. There might be changes in the
system that results to slowdowns and problems. Backup the registry first before
repairing it.
Research: Researching is very
important. You might encounter errors that you haven’t seen before or problems
that are unusual. Use the net to find possible solutions. Seeking help is not a
bad idea. Don’t act like you know everything just to impress your clients
because you might end up producing another problem.

proven to be effective. These are the basic things that you must consider in
